Kanawha Falls is a river wide waterfall that reaches drop of 15 feet. An old hydro plant is located on the western side of the falls. A paved walk way leads up to the old building and allows for a closer view of the falls. The waterfall itself is broke into a number of sections and always has plenty of water. During the dry season some of the smaller falls may be dry.
Three wet weather waterfalls are also located on US-60 before you reach the parking lot turn off for Kanawha Falls. Two of these falls have nice sized pull offs, but the larger falls has a bit of a scramble to get to it. I had to park along the road and cross the rail road tracks to reach it.
